Update for December 2012
Sunday, December 30, 2012 6pm EST
Peace on earth and good will to all. Had a nice weekend. Finally bought a new TV on end-of-year sale so think I did pretty good. Have to get some cables and cable ties before I gut the entertainment center this week and rearrange everything. Oh no. I will be streaming too because I bought a new DVD player as well to go with the new TV. All HDMI connectors and all so for only $99 thought how could I go wrong jumping feet first into the BlueRay and modern age. lol I am working tomorrow for a portion of the day. But if I do not post again, please remember that I am always thinking off all of you and wish you a healthy and prosperous 2013 to come. May The Blessings Be.

Starting to really snow here. Light fluffy stuff right now but supposed to get worse and then turn into freezing rain. It's only 33 degrees outside so good snow weather. It will be nothing like the one 2 years ago. See upper picture on the left from exactly 2 years ago today. Wow, that was a storm. This one will be bad but at worse only a few inches for us. Quiet today at work. Got some of my online stuff done for work. I am leaving here about 3pm to run some errands and then home to comfort Smokey. lol
Had a great Christmas. Got lots of cards and some much needed money and Starbucks card. THANKS to all.

Back to work Wednesday. Hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas. Now we have a storm bearing down on us. Had to cancel dinner plans for tonight since it is supposed to get bad driving around here starting about 3pm. Oh JOY...
Tuesday, December 25, 2012 6pm EST
Had a great Christmas breakfast with friends and then just kicked back at home and opened cards. Now just watching some Doctor Who getting ready for the premier of the new Christmas special. Smokey is enjoying her new toys. Have to head into work tomorrow so just having a quiet evening.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a prosperous and safe 2013.
My heart goes out to the 2 firefighters ambushed and killed yesterday as they were shot arriving at an intentionally set fire in Webster, NY.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Christmas.

Went out and had breakfast with our favorite waitress Patty over at the diner. Warren and I were there, then we headed over to AMC Clifton Commons to see THE HOBBIT. Loved it. Long sucker at 2 hours and 50 minutes. But for an old geek like me, it was great. Can't wait for the other 2 movies now to come out. Then to the Little Ferry Starbucks that I normally go to and back to drop off Warren. Oh, we also got gas a Shell. My first time using the new Stop and Shop Shell discount. Got 20 cents off my fill up. So I paid $3.05 per gallon on gas. Not bad. Listening to Christmas music and getting ready to cook some dinner.

Happy 12-12-12 everyone.
Hope everyone has a great day today. Just got an email that my Great Uncle Gene recently passed away. Here is my grandfather (second from left) in 1985 with his brothers.
Monday, December 10, 2012 12:30pm AST on United flight 1123 out of Phoenix, Arizona headed back to Newark.
Nice flight so far. The head stewardess is funny. There is no recorded message from the United boss dude and no safety stuff. So they did it all manually like they used to years ago. Maybe the thing is busted. I am on a Boeing 737-800 in the Economy Plus exit row with an extra seat between me and the window. So plenty of space. NICE... Also confirmed before I left the airport that the new cloud server drives were working for my secretary files for HOP/NYC Pride. So that was great too. We appear to be landing early in Newark. That normally does not happen so we will see if we have to circle much when we get there. Weather is again a factor which normally means that they will have to slow down flight arrivals. At least there was not a ground hold on when we left. So we did not have to sit on the tarmac and count birds flying by.

Sitting at the Gateway/Phoenix airport waiting for my flight back to Newark. There is a storm back east right now so hopefully we will not have to circle to long in the air to get on the ground. The flight that just arrived from Newark and is then continuing on to Houston just landed late. They were saying that due to weather it got out of Newark late. Oh well, I am supposed to land at 7pm local time so that leaves me plenty of time. Had a great time while I was here. Got to see my sister the first weekend I was here. She was in town to see the Donny & Marie Christmas show that was here with my mom. Was able to relax, swim a bit and generally kick back while I was here. Did a few things with mom and just enjoyed the time off.
Saturday, December 1, 2012 4pm AST (Arizona Standard Time) Mesa, Arizona
Having a great time here in Mesa. Got done running errands and getting things, now about to crash and get some rest. Wanted to update and then shut down (computer and me).
Saturday, December 1, 2012 8:35am AST (Arizona Standard Time) over middle America at 38,000 feet'ish
On the plane. Watch a few movies. Life of Timothy Green and then Thunderstruck. Now going to do some maintenance and move the superstorm into archive since the index page has gotten rather large. Did have a great Sunday last week since it was the first weekend day that I did not do anything SANDY related. Every weekend day after the storm I was busy out on Fire Island doing work. Wow, a lot to do. Our community is so isolated down on the eastern side of the island verses what goes on with the western communities. You blink down on the west side and you are in another hamlet. I do not even know where some of them start and stop. I generally know where the fire districts are but several smaller hamlets do not have their own fire department. The contract out with another department next door to them. Anyway, it took us 3 weeks to fully get power restored to the community. Then the following Saturday I was out there with the repair team for our pull box system. The house that we lease known as YMCA did rather well. A big storage cabinet fell in the back and the rain spout came off. The roof lost a few more shingles and I am sure the water heater downstairs will need to be replaced again. That will make 3 times it has flooded out in 5 years I think. Oh well. Off to do maintenance. And of course the guy in front of me wants to have his seat all the way back into my face. LOL, figures.
Saturday, December 1, 2012 5:55am EST WORLD AIDS DAY
Sitting at gate C-81 waiting on UA 1060 to be boarded. Had a nice, quiet drive in from home and now just enjoying some eye candy to watch that is joining me on the flight. Should be a fun time while I am there. Got lots of things that I am doing myself and then several with my mom too. It's cold here but the weather is supposed to warm up to 60 while I am gone. I'll be hopefully enjoying 70+ down in Arizona. I drove into the City last night and signed some checks at Heritage of Pride then back home to finish packing. Smokey looked upset that I was packing. She will be fine. Matt is going to look after her while I am gone over the weekend and Brandon will tend to her needs during the week. Boarding has been announced, later.
